Start with a focused section

Long podcast episodes can contain many topics. Instead of processing everything blindly, pick a focused section or a reasonable time range when possible.

This makes it easier to review suggested clips and avoid spending time on parts of the episode that are not useful for Shorts.

Generate candidate clips

Use ClipFlow to analyze the video and create candidate clips. Treat the output as a starting point, not a final editorial decision.

A good podcast Short usually has a clear idea, a fast setup, and enough context for someone who has never seen the full episode.

Edit captions and hooks

Captions should be easy to read on a phone. Keep them short, check timing, and adjust wording where the transcript needs cleanup.

You can also add or adjust a visual hook at the start of the clip when the topic needs a little more context.

Export and review before posting

Before publishing, watch the exported clip once from start to finish. Check the first few seconds, caption readability, and whether the clip makes sense without the full episode.

If the clip feels unclear, trim it again or choose another candidate.
